Happy Friday, everyone! I had another great weekend of music, starting with Kaleigh and Tyler's Wedding last Saturday. Thank you for having me be a part of your special day...your ceremony was beautiful, and the weather was gorgeous.
Saturday night was a blast at Rawson Pub. You were a small but mighty crowd, and I had a ton of fun. A huge shout out to Jeff Allen and his bachelor party who showed up and partied for a bit. Thanks to Jeff as well as Eric and Kyle from Failure to Launch for joining me on some tunes. Best mash-up of Vanilla Ice/Under Pressure ever. I was also fortunate enough to have the amazing and talented Ann Wieczorek join me on much of my second set. If you haven't met this girl, you really should - she is ridiculously talented. Thanks once again to Brittney and Steve for having me...I love playing at the pub and I'll be back there again July 29th!
I stopped by Lindey's on Lake Beulah to sit in on a few tunes with the Doghouse Charlie Band on Saturday after my gig at RP. Thanks to Jake and the gang for having me up to jam...y'all are so fun to play/sing with! I'll be doing some gigs DHC coming up this summer, so watch for more information to come.
Had a great Sunday as well with my #fhsmusicalfam in Madison... we attended the Tommy Awards - a program that recognizes excellence in High School Musical Theatre throughout the state of Wisconsin - and got to cheer on Joe Frisch and Alexis Cimoch as they took on the big stage at the Overture Center. So proud of them, and blessed to be able to surround myself with so much music and performance on a day to day basis!
This Saturday, I'll be at Gary's Wind Lake Boathouse and am super excited to be back there as well. Gary's is always a great time and I love playing there. Come join me from 7:30 (ish) to 10:30 (ish) for some rocking tunes... and, of course, some delicious beers and cocktails.
Next week I'll be headed out to Denver to spend some time in the fresh mountain air and hanging out with friends and family. My cousin Roman Samuels has some gigs while I'm out there that I'm pumped to attend --- I actually think this will be my first time seeing Roman Samuels live and solo! This guy is legit talented and has some incredible music out there. You can check out his stuff at RomanSamuelsMusic.com. I know this vacation will be filled with relaxation and plenty of music, and I'm totally looking forward to the break.
Have a wonderful Friday, enjoy this gorgeous weather, and see you on Saturday at Gary's!
