Woah. What an awesome weekend of shows! Thanks to everyone who came out Friday night to The Tap Room and Saturday to Rawson Pub. I had such a blast playing and singing for you!
August is super crazy but has about a billion opportunities to catch a gig or ten. Tomorrow night (Wednesday), I'm super stoked to be playing at St. Francis National Night Out and sharing the stage with the Doghouse Charlie Band! I will do a set, then they will perform with the lovely and talented Sarah Anderson at the helm, I'll do a second set and we will round out the night with a combined, super-sonic, kick-butt, collaborative set. Seriously. You won't want to miss this. Bring a cooler, snacks and lawn-chairs and come hang out. You can even bring the kids to this one! Bug spray recommended.
Then. Starting Thursday, I bring to you Wisconsin State Fair along with six once-in-a-lifetime opportunites to see me rock it on the Door County Fish Boil Stage. They have a rockin' lineup throughout the fair, and I will be there six out of their ten days. The fair is offering a bunch of admission specials so you don't even have to pay full price to get in...you can check out all the awesome details by clicking here. The four shows I am playing with Doghouse Charlie will include a super-special treat: solo sets by yours truly during DHC breaks! That's right
folks...nonstop music from 7pm until the fair closes. You really should come on by. If you don't think that one set of JLM music between DHC sets is enough, never fret. You can check out my solo shows on Thursday, August 10th and Sunday, August 13th from 10am - 1pm to get your fix. These gigs are perfect timing for a lunch outting, a great opportunity to bring the kids, and the fair will (hopefully) be a little less crowded around the lunch hour. So stop on by to any of these six shows. I promise it will be worth it.
Finally, I'll be rockin with DHC at Greendale Village Days on Friday, August 11th, once again playing some solo songs between sets while also performing with the full band. Lots going on --- which means you don't have an excuse to *not* make it out to at least one of these shows! If you come on out to any of these, swing on by and say hello...I'd love to see you!
