Holy cow. I can’t believe it’s almost the end of August! It has been a fantastic month of shows… exhausting at times, but so much fun, with so many opportunities to play music! I’ve had nine shows including some wonderful gigs at State Fair … thank you SO much to everyone who stopped out to rock with The Doghouse Charlie Band as well as at my solo shows. State Fair gigs are awesome because so many people are able to come by and say hi while at the fair, and y’all
August has been filled with a lot of excitement… an awesome weekend up in Chippewa Falls relaxing in the Northwoods and drinking Leinenkugel beers with family, camping with my boyfriend and his amazing group of friends in Spring Green including a float on the Wisconsin River, my favorite festival of the year ---- Milwaukee Irish Fest, and three wonderful days of Show Choir Camp where my kick-butt group of kiddos learned all of their choreography for our fall Broadway Concert. (Be sure to check out the concert on Monday, October 16th….these kids are amazing!) I also want to throw out a huge congratulations to my former drummer Terry and his wife Michelle on the arrival of their perfect little daughter, Francesca Ray this past week. If you see him around - especially at a Random Maxx gig - be sure and wish them well. :)
I’m gearing up to head back to school, but before it’s back to work full-time, I have a gig this Saturday at Rawson Pub. I absolutely love playing at RP and it sounds like quite a few of you are available to come on out and hang out with me! I start at 7 and play until 11-ish. Come on out, buy some drinks and throw out a few requests.. There is a good chance I’ll be able to play them!
Labor day weekend I’ve got two solo gigs … one at Bender Park Beer Garden in Oak Creek, and one at St. Martin’s Fair in Franklin Labor Day morning! Then the entire month of September is busy again with back to school, more solo and DHC gigs, weddings and fall fun… stay tuned for chances to come and rock out with me!
Happy Thursday and hope to see you this weekend!
